Capitalism creates communism

Communis: common or shared

Capitalists are literally creating the very thing that they fear in real time. On the surface level, capitalism sounds great, work hard and get compensated for it. I mean who would think thats a bad thing? But when you really peel back the layers of what capitalism really is, you see that it's not a sustainable way of society. It’s exploitive, conniving and  destructive.

Capitalism aims to produce capital at the cheapest way. Everything becomes capital, land, machinery, money and most of all people. When humans start to be looked as something other than human, thats when shit gets weird. Look at what’s happening in Africa and in the Middle East, look at why numerous countries are in the midst of genocide. Do you think that’s mindless? No, it’s greed disguising itself as politics. People are benefiting from these deaths. This is the landscape capitalism is creating, a landscape where people are being manipulated in the darkest ways to create more capital, cause at the end of the day, generation of capital is what powers capitalism.

Capitalism is always looking for new ways to produce, which creates the need for new technologies. Where does this leaves us? In search of the newest technology to continue this cycle. Right now we're seeing the newest tech takeover, AI. Eventually the need for humans as capital will diminish into obscurity because AI will be able to do all the humans can do but a hell of alot cheaper.

But let’s slow down and not go too far into the future. Let's talk about right now, capitalism is creating communism as we speak. As technology improves, the specialization required of humans is decreasing. Thus, pushing people into work that is simple which in turns means pushing people to lower wages, creating a population of people who cannot afford to live or live comfortably. I know the shadow that communism has because of its past but to say we’re not going back that way would be failure to look at what’s going on around us. To emphasize, Capitalism has good benefits, it allows free market trade, abundance of land, access to wealth, the American Dream. The thing is that those benefits are only affordable to a small amount of people. The rest have no access to these benefits. And the "rest" is the majority and is only growing in number.

So what does this create? A community of people who share a common struggle, and once that community wakes up and sees how much they outnumber the small minority reaping the benefits, shit hits the fan. The word communism comes from the latin word communis which means common or shared. Is it clicking yet? 99% of people have something in common, a common "enemy" in capitalism . Eventually that 99% will realize what’s going on, and trample over capitalism. What ensues after is yet to be seen. Maybe it’s communism, maybe it’s socialism or maybe it’s something that hasn't even been created yet. We’ll see but I do know, the pendulum is swinging back towards the left.
